The sound of clays breaking echoed across Defender Outdoors Clay Sports Ranch on February 27, but the annual Benbrook Area Chamber of Commerce Clay Shoot was about more than marksmanship.
Fifteen teams gathered for the 2026 event, bringing friendly competition, business networking, and community pride to the range. Sponsors and volunteers kept the day running smoothly, while shooters brought steady aim and plenty of energy.

Proceeds from this yearโs shoot benefited the Benbrook Firefighters Association, adding a deeper purpose to the competition.
After the final round, participants gathered for lunch and awards, celebrating the first- and second-place teams, top male and female shooters, and the lighthearted last-place recognition that keeps everyone grounded.
Local businesses such as Benbrook Lighted 3 Par Golf, Stanton & Co., and many more joined as sponsors and participants, underscoring the Chamberโs role in connecting and strengthening the local business community.
In the end, not every clay survived, but the sense of community did. And in Benbrook, that may be the bigger win.
