The Benbrook Lady Bobcats kept their winning streak rolling Tuesday night, October 13, sweeping crosstown rival Western Hills in three sets for their ninth district victory of the season.
Coming off a five-set victory over Young Women’s Leadership Academy that snapped a 20-match losing streak, the Lady Cougars arrived looking to build on that momentum.
But the Benbrook Lady Bobcats had other plans.
The Lady Bobcats jumped out early, dominating the opening set 25-8. Western Hills put up a stronger fight in the second, but Benbrook held firm for a 25-15 win before closing out the match 25-9 in the third.
With their third consecutive victory, the Lady Bobcats improved to 23-14 overall and 9-2 in district play, holding second place in District 8-4A.
Benbrook returns to action Friday, October 16, traveling to face Eastern Hills in another district matchup.
