Benbrook Resident’s Christmas Display Spreads Joy and Hope.

Ray Mallick, a lifelong Fort Worth resident, turned his passion for Christmas lights into a local legend.

Growing up in a home decorated with dazzling holiday decor, Mallick carried forward his mother’s love for festive joy by creating a breathtaking light display at his parents’ house near Bellaire Drive South, right inside the city limits of Benbrook.

Over the years, the display grew to over 300,000 lights, attracting crowds, fire trucks, and even a Benbrook mayoral proclamation recognizing its impact on the community. The lights weren’t just for show — they also became a beacon of giving.

By 2017, Mallick began raising thousands of dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, channeling the spirit of Christmas into life-changing generosity. After his parents’ passing, Mallick continues the tradition at his home in Quail Ridge Estates, bringing joy and nostalgia to all who visit.

“Christmas is about belief,” says Mallick. “For one month, I hope anyone who stops by feels the magic and remembers the season’s true meaning.”

Visit Mallick’s dazzling light display on Tameron Trail, just off Bryant Irvin Road.
