Looking for a good read or an early Christmas gift? The Benbrook Public Library is hosting its semiannual Friends of the Library Book Sale this week, November 5 through 8, with plenty of opportunities for residents to stock up on books.
The sale opens Thursday, November 5, from 4 to 7 p.m., exclusively for first responders, teachers, and military personnel with valid identification. Shopping continues Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library also lists Sunday as a sale day, but has not provided hours.
With the sale taking up extra space, children’s storytimes will be limited to Monday and Tuesday mornings. Other activities continue throughout the week, including Pokémon Club, Bookmarked Book Club, creative writing, teen improv, and an off-site trivia night.
The library is located at 1065 Mercedes Street in Benbrook.
For the complete schedule, visit the library’s events calendar, check benbrooklibrary.org, or call 817-249-6632.
And if you’re already thinking about Christmas shopping, a few good books might be worth wrapping up early.
