If you spot a familiar green table around town this weekend, there is a good reason to stop and say hello. The Benbrook Girl Scouts of Girl Scouts Troop 2504 are out selling cookies and raising support for a cause that stays close to home.
Troop 2504 will be set up at several locations across Benbrook and nearby areas, giving residents plenty of chances to grab a box or two. Along with traditional sales, the scouts are also collecting donations for Cookies for Heroes, a program that sends cookies to Benbrook first responders and local educators as a thank you for serving the community.
Here is where you can find them:
Friday, January 16, from 4 to 7 pm at Russell Feed on Highway 377
Saturday, January 17, from 10 am to 1 pm at Kroger on Camp Bowie
Saturday, January 17, from 1 to 4 pm at the Walmart Benbrook location on the Home side
Sunday, January 18, from 10 am to 1 pm at Walmart Neighborhood Market on West Vickery
Sunday, January 18, from 4 to 7 pm, back at the Benbrook Walmart Home side
Cookies are $6 per box, and the scouts accept cash, card, Venmo, and PayPal, making it easy to support whether you are shopping on the go or planning ahead.
Troop 2504 sends a heartfelt thank you to the Benbrook community for continuing to show up, support local youth, and help spread a little extra kindness one box of cookies at a time.
