Benbrook EDC to Consider $1 Million Incentive at Monday Meeting.

A proposed $1 million economic development incentive and the transfer of city-owned land will headline Monday night’s Benbrook Economic Development Corporation meeting.

The BEDC Board will meet Monday, July 20, at Benbrook City Hall, 911 Winscott Road.

During the regular meeting, board members are scheduled to hold a public hearing on a proposal to provide a $1 million economic development incentive and convey BEDC-owned property at 9353 Benbrook Blvd. to MAD SR Benbrook RE, LLC.

The proposal would also require an amendment to the corporation’s Fiscal Year 2026-27 budget.

The meeting agenda also includes approval of the June 15 meeting minutes, the monthly financial report for the period ending June 30, and executive session discussions regarding the property and proposed economic development negotiations with MAD SR Benbrook RE, LLC.

Any action resulting from those closed-door discussions will be considered after the board returns to open session.

The work session begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at Benbrook City Hall, 911 Winscott Road.

Members of the public may speak during the Citizen’s Public Forum or participate in the scheduled public hearing regarding the proposed incentive.
