Benbrook Economic Development Board Reviews Projects and City Finances.

The Benbrook Economic Development Corporation will hold its next regular board meeting on Monday, March 16 at Benbrook City Hall, located at 911 Winscott Road.

The evening begins with a work session at 6:30 p.m. in the Central Conference Room, followed by the regular board meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. A quorum of the Benbrook City Council may attend.

During the work session, staff will review the meeting agenda and provide updates on development activity around the city.

Discussion may include projects related to properties along Westpark Drive, Southwest Loop 820, and Benbrook Boulevard, as well as broader updates on economic development initiatives and city activity.

One action item on the agenda is approval of the February 17 meeting minutes. At that earlier meeting, board members approved the January 20 minutes and received a financial update covering activity through January 31.

The financial report showed the corporation holding about $7.45 million in liquid assets, including funds in checking accounts and TexPool investments. January revenue totaled about $202,000, with most of that coming from sales tax collections, along with interest earnings and smaller revenue sources.

The report also noted about $1.33 million in funds tied to current and pending projects, leaving an overall fund balance of roughly $6.12 million.

The March 16 agenda also includes an executive session to discuss real property matters, including a temporary parking agreement related to property at 9353 Benbrook Boulevard.
