Benbrook City Council members will meet Thursday, July 16, with several items on the agenda that could impact city operations, public safety, and future infrastructure planning.
One of the evening’s key agenda items is a resolution calling the City’s General Election for November 3, 2026, along with authorizing a joint election with Tarrant County Elections.
Council members will also consider an interlocal agreement with the Fort Worth Independent School District to continue providing School Resource Officers, helping maintain law enforcement presence on local campuses.
Another item calls for approving a contract with Freese and Nichols, Inc. to conduct a closed-circuit television inspection and GIS assessment of Benbrook’s storm sewer system. The project is designed to help evaluate the condition of underground stormwater infrastructure and support future maintenance planning.
Residents will have two opportunities to address the council. Citizen comments on agenda items will be accepted near the beginning of the meeting, while informal comments on any topic will be heard later in the meeting. Speakers are limited to three minutes.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 16, in the City Council Chambers at 911 Winscott Road. Residents can review the full agenda and supporting documents on the City’s website before the meeting.
