A new EMS agreement, city finance updates, and housing program participation are among the topics headed before the Benbrook City Council this week.
The council will meet on Thursday, May 7, at 7 p.m. inside Council Chambers at Benbrook City Hall, located at 911 Winscott Road.
One of the larger agenda items includes a proposed agreement with American Medical Response Ambulance Service, Inc., to provide emergency medical services at designated properties along with citywide backup EMS support.
Council members will also review the city’s financial report and quarterly investment report for the period ending March 31, 2026, providing residents with a snapshot of Benbrook’s current financial position, expenditures, revenue trends, and sales tax comparisons.
Another item on the agenda would authorize Benbrook’s participation in Tarrant County’s 2026 HOME Program, which supports housing-related community development efforts.
Residents will also have opportunities to speak during both agenda-specific citizen comments and informal citizen comments portions of the meeting. Public comments are limited to three minutes per speaker.
Later in the evening, council members are scheduled to enter executive session to discuss property located at 9353 Benbrook Boulevard under Texas Government Code provisions related to real property negotiations.
Like many local council meetings, Thursday’s agenda blends routine city business with decisions that can quietly shape daily life across the community, from emergency response services to long-term development planning.
