Benbrook showed up and showed out at last week’s Region I-4A track meet in Lubbock, with two standout athletes putting in strong performances on the big stage.
Representing Benbrook High, Lady Bobcat Amaya Monroe sprinted her way to a 5th place finish in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 25.72 seconds. Over in the field events, Western Hills senior Abby Moilan secured 5th place in the shot put, landing a solid throw of 36 feet, 2¾ inches.
Both athletes represented the Benbrook community with grit and determination. Shoutout to the students, coaches, families, and school staff who made this track season a success. Benbrook is proud!
