The countdown to graduation is officially on at Benbrook Middle-High School as seniors step into one of the most memorable weeks of the school year.
Senior Week activities kick off Monday with a senior brunch from 10:30 to 11:55 a.m. in the cafeteria, giving students one more chance to slow down, laugh together, and soak in the final days before graduation. Seniors will also turn in their MacBooks during the event, another reminder that the finish line is close.
Tuesday brings one of the most emotional traditions of the week, the Senior Walks through Benbrook Elementary campuses. Graduating students will return to the halls where many of them first started school, this time wearing caps and gowns while younger students line the hallways, cheering them on.
The schedule includes:
- 9 a.m. at Westpark Elementary
- 10 a.m. at Luella Merrett Elementary
- 11 a.m. at Rolling Hills Elementary
- 1 p.m. at Benbrook Elementary
Students are encouraged to wear full graduation regalia for the walks.
Wednesday shifts into celebration mode with Field Day activities moving directly into Senior Sunset after school. Organizers say the afternoon and evening will include rentals, food trucks, games, and plenty of time for seniors to enjoy one final event together before graduation season officially arrives.
For seniors and families alike, the week carries a little bit of everything: excitement, nostalgia, exhaustion, celebration, and the strange feeling of realizing the moments that once felt routine are suddenly becoming “lasts.”
