Cougar pride was on full display as Western Hills High School swimmers delivered standout performances at the Regional 2-4A meet held January 30 and 31.

She dropped more than three seconds in the 200 freestyle to post a lifetime best of 4:18.65 and finished eighth. In the 500 freestyle, she cut nearly ten seconds, finishing seventh with a new best time of 10:55.45.
Senior Ethan Shottenkirk matched the momentum with strong finals swims of his own. He surged to fifth place in the 500 freestyle after trimming an incredible 22 seconds for a time of 8:49.24. He also placed seventh in the 100 breaststroke, shaving five seconds to finish in 1:41.99.
