Benbrook, your Western Hills tennis team just wrapped an exciting run at the Region 1 Championship in Lubbock, proudly representing Cougar Country on the big stage.
Student-athletes Jesus Alvizo, Daviahn Ervin, Jessica Hernandez, Jacqueline Mares, Elaina Montalvo, and Erick Perez stepped up to face top-tier talent in a tough first round. The boys’ opponents went on to claim second place, while the girls’ challengers took third—both earning spots at State. That’s serious competition.
Even though the tournament didn’t end in a title, these Cougars gained invaluable experience and showed up with the kind of hustle and heart that makes Benbrook proud. From the court to the community, they played with class, confidence, and Cougar pride all season long.
