As summer activities ramp up across North Texas, Texas Health Neighborhood Care & Wellness Willow Park is inviting families to spend a Saturday morning learning how to stay safe both at home and outdoors.
The community’s “Super Safety Saturday” event is set for May 30 from 9 a.m. to noon and will feature a wide range of family-friendly safety demonstrations, education stations, giveaways, and kid activities.
Organizers say the free event will include information on pool and sun safety, drowning prevention, poison control, child safety, suicide prevention, snake education, and firearm safety, including gun lock giveaways. Families can also receive bicycle helmets and life jackets.
For kids, the morning is designed to feel more like a festival than a lecture. Activities include bounce houses, face painting, a petting zoo, food trucks, bicycle giveaways, and a trackless train ride.
Emergency response vehicles and demonstrations will also be on display, including tours of a fire truck, ambulance, and CareFlite helicopter, along with a jaws-of-life demonstration.
The event will take place at 101 Crown Pointe Boulevard in Willow Park. More information is available through Texas Health Willow Park or by calling 817-757-1500.
