Western Hills High School’s Varsity Tenor Bass Choir had a milestone moment Saturday night.
The group performed at University Christian Church, stepping into the spotlight as one of only three choirs invited to perform with The Fort Worth Chorale, the oldest and largest semi-professional community choir in Texas. Sharing the stage with powerhouse 6A programs from Keller High School and MacArthur High School in Irving made the evening even more special for the Western Hills singers.
Directed by Blake Glass, the young men, joined by one female vocalist, filled the sanctuary with a warm, full sound that drew quiet admiration from the room. Their tone carried a depth and unity that reminded listeners why live choir music continues to move people.
