As New Year’s Eve festivities approach, Tarrant County District Attorney Phil Sorrells reminds residents to celebrate responsibly.

Under Tarrant County’s year-round “no refusal” policy, law enforcement will secure warrants for blood tests if a driver refuses a breath test.

Sorrells urged residents to plan ahead: “Designate a sober driver, call a rideshare, or get a lift from a friend. Let’s start the new year safely.”
