Benbrook Hosts National Drug Take-Back Day.

BENBROOK, TX — Clear out your medicine cabinets and safely dispose of unwanted medications at the National Drug Take-Back Event hosted by the Benbrook Police and Fire Departments, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). This important community initiative is scheduled for Saturday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Benbrook Fire Station, 528 Mercedes St. The event is free and open to the public.

Safely Dispose of Unused or Expired Medications

The Take-Back event aims to provide residents with a secure and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired over-the-counter and prescription medications, helping to prevent potential misuse and environmental contamination.

Residents can drive to the Benbrook Fire Station and drop off their unwanted medications—no questions asked. It’s a quick and easy way to contribute to the safety and well-being of the community.

Important Guidelines for Disposal

While the event welcomes a wide range of medications, residents are reminded that intravenous solutions, injectables, and syringes will not be accepted due to the potential hazards of blood-borne pathogens. Please ensure that only non-hazardous medications are brought for disposal.
