One Last Photo With the Robot at Dutch Branch Park.

For generations of Benbrook kids and parents, the robot slide at Dutch Branch Park has been more than playground equipment.

It has been a backdrop for scraped knees, birthday parties, first climbs, and countless memories. Now, before it’s removed and replaced with a modern version, the community has a chance to mark the moment together.

On February 1 at 2 PM, neighbors are invited to gather for a community photo in front of the iconic robot slide. It’s a simple idea with a meaningful goal: capture one last shared memory of Benbrook’s history.

Because this gathering requires a city permit, organizers must submit an estimated headcount in advance for both attendees and volunteers. That means RSVPs really matter. Whether you plan to come or know you cannot, your response helps make the event possible.

If you plan to attend, select YES (Going).
If you cannot make it, select NO (Not Going).
Either way, please do not skip this step.

RSVPs are being collected through the official Facebook event page here: https://www.facebook.com/events/s/group-photo-with-the-robot-at-/714349155065845/.

It’s a short window, a familiar place, and a chance to show up with neighbors for something small but meaningful.

One last photo. One shared moment. One Benbrook memory preserved before the robot takes its final bow.
