Benbrook Public Library is rolling out a packed calendar this October, offering something for every age and interest. From global adventures to ghost hunts, the library is bringing both learning and fun to the community.

Kicking off on October 7, author Tui Snider leads Around the World in 80 Graves, a fascinating look at cemeteries that shaped her life and friendships. Just a few days later, families can enjoy BFD Safety Storytime on October 10, where the Benbrook Fire Department will share a special fire safety-themed reading for Fire Safety Week.

The same evening, the library goes darkโ€”literally. Library After Dark: Ghost Hunt invites adults to join Ghost Hunter Becky Vickers for a spine-tingling investigation in the stacks.

On October 19, families are invited to Celebrate Neurodiversity, a welcoming event created with Stoneโ€™s Throw Farm Co. to provide a safe space filled with crafts, resources, and community connection.

The month closes with a Halloween double feature. On October 31, kids can enjoy a Monster Mash Halloween Party at 10:30 a.m. with games, snacks, and costumes. Later that evening, adults can gather for Are You Afraid of the Dark? at 6 p.m., featuring live scary storytelling where guests can even share their own tales.

Benbrook Public Library is located at 1065 Mercedes St, Benbrook, TX 76126. For details on events or registration, visit benbrooklibrary.org, email reference@benbrooklibrary.org, or call 817-249-6632.
