BENBROOK, TX — Colonel Bert Lowell Lennon, U.S. Army (retired), passed away on March 11, 2026, after a courageous fight with leukemia. He was a longtime resident of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and is remembered for a life marked by service, leadership, and devotion to others.
Family and friends will have two opportunities to pay their respects. A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. A second viewing will take place on Friday, March 20, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Avery Methodist Church in Avery, Texas, followed by a funeral service and burial at Avery Cemetery.
In place of flowers, the family encourages donations to Hospice of Central PA or the United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County, honoring a legacy of care and community impact.
