Another data center project is moving forward in west Fort Worth, adding to the growing presence of AI and cloud infrastructure in the area.
According to local Realtor Kirstine Openshaw, Lancarte Commercial has completed a full-building industrial lease for a data center tenant at a site west of Markum Ranch and Skyline Ranch, just south of Interstate 20.
The project reflects the continued demand for data centers across North Texas as artificial intelligence and cloud computing expand.
Supporters of data centers point to potential benefits including construction jobs, long-term technical positions, and increased tax revenue that can help fund public services. Large industrial developments can also spur additional housing and commercial growth nearby.
At the same time, Openshaw noted that many residents continue to raise concerns about water use and noise, two issues that have become central topics in the regionโs ongoing conversations about data center development.
The announcement comes as data centers remain a major topic across western Fort Worth, including discussions that continue to draw interest from many Benbrook residents.
