Fort Worth-based Alcon Laboratories voluntarily recalls one lot of its Systane Lubricant Eye Drops Ultra PF, Single Vials On-the-Go (25 count) due to potential fungal contamination.
The recall, limited to lot number 10101 with an expiration date of September 2025, comes as a precaution, although no infections have been reported to date.
The company warns that fungal contamination could lead to serious vision-threatening infections or, in rare cases, life-threatening conditions. Consumers can identify the affected product by its green and pink carton design and the “25 vials” package size.
