Fort Worth ISD is taking an unusual approach to getting more parents involved in shaping the district’s future: meeting them in the school car line.
Board of Managers members will visit 13 campuses in the Dunbar and O.D. Wyatt pyramids Thursday and Friday for a “Car Line Blitz,” encouraging families to complete the district’s community survey.
Board President Pete Geren acknowledged that participation has been lower than hoped in some areas and said the board needs to do a better job reaching parents where they are.
While Benbrook Pyramid campuses are not part of the blitz, Benbrook families can still complete the FWISD Community Listening Survey through Sept. 15.
