The start of a new school year is almost here, and that means school buses, busy drop-off lines, and heavier traffic are returning to roads across Tarrant County.
The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office is reminding parents and drivers to stay alert as students head back to class. Motorists are encouraged to slow down in school zones, put their phones away, watch for children crossing streets, and always follow crossing guard instructions to help keep everyone safe.
For Benbrook families, Fort Worth ISD students return to class on Monday, Aug. 10. Other nearby districts will begin throughout the week:
- Monday, Aug. 10: Fort Worth ISD, Kennedale ISD
- Tuesday, Aug. 11: Carroll ISD, Crowley ISD, Everman ISD, Lake Worth ISD
- Wednesday, Aug. 12: Aledo ISD, Azle ISD, Birdville ISD, Burleson ISD, Godley ISD, Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, HEB ISD, Keller ISD, Lewisville ISD (portion in Tarrant County), Mansfield ISD, Northwest ISD
- Thursday, Aug. 13: Arlington ISD, Castleberry ISD, Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD, White Settlement ISD
