Parents, teachers, staff, and community members spent more than two hours sharing ideas and concerns during a recent Fort Worth ISD Board of Managers Summer Listening Session at Paschal High School.
The discussion centered on questions that could help shape the district’s long-term priorities, including what is and is not working in FWISD, what should continue, what concerns families most, and what defines a successful graduate.
Participants were also asked what values the next superintendent should honor and what they consider non-negotiable as the district develops a set of future “guardrails.”
Organizers encouraged residents to continue participating by completing the district’s online survey once it becomes available and by sharing feedback with district leaders.
The community group FW Fort also used the event to highlight its priorities, including improving student literacy, strengthening community engagement and transparency, and restoring local elected governance to Fort Worth ISD by the end of the 2027 through 2028 school year.
