Planning to head downtown for Fort Worth’s annual Parade of Lights? Families arriving early can enjoy a little extra fun before the holiday festivities begin.

The Sid Richardson Museum and KERA Kids are teaming up for a free Pre-Parade Family Day on Sunday, November 22, from 2 to 5 p.m., ahead of the GM Financial Parade of Lights.

Children can meet PBS KIDS’ Nature Cat during appearances from 3 to 3:30 p.m. and 4 to 4:30 p.m. The afternoon also includes hands-on art activities, a gallery scavenger hunt, and free art and nature bags while supplies last.

The event takes place at the Sid Richardson Museum, 309 Main Street in downtown Fort Worth. Admission is free, and no registration is required.

The museum closes at 5 p.m., giving families time to head outside and find their spot along the parade route.
