BENBROOK, TX – After nearly three decades of service, Dr. Karen Molinar has officially taken the helm as Fort Worth ISD’s new superintendent following a unanimous vote by the school board on Tuesday evening.
Molinar, who stepped in as interim superintendent after Dr. Angelica Ramsey’s departure, received an enthusiastic welcome as the board confirmed her leadership, though details of Molinar’s contract and salary are yet to be disclosed.
Parents and educators praised the board’s decision to promote from within, expressing optimism about the district’s future under her leadership.
Molinar steps into the role at a challenging time, with budget constraints, declining enrollment, and potential school closures looming. However, she has already outlined a strategic plan to enhance student success and strengthen Fort Worth ISD.
