Busy Spring Ahead at World Languages Institute in Benbrook.

Benbrook families, there’s a full slate of activity happening at the World Languages Institute (WLI) as spring hits full stride. With exam prep, prom, scholarships, and community events on the calendar, students and parents alike have plenty to keep up with.

This Saturday, April 12, marks the final round of STAAR and AP exam prep. Morning sessions are dedicated to math for students in grades 6 through Algebra I, while the afternoon features an AP Social Studies mock exam. Students attending both sessions should bring lunch, as the cafeteria will be closed.

The countdown to prom is on, and today is the final day to grab tickets. Don’t miss out on this special night.

Looking ahead, Tarrant County College is hosting a Parent Night on Wednesday, April 16, offering insights into college programs and resources. It’s a great opportunity for families exploring post-high school plans.

Seniors, take note: The WLI Advisory Council is offering scholarship opportunities, including ten $500 awards and one $1,000 award. Applications are now open.

On Thursday, May 1, WLI’s 8th-grade class will take a college field trip to Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Permission slips are available in the front office.

Mark your calendars—WLI’s graduation ceremony is officially set for Friday, May 30 at 9:00 a.m. at Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center.

Also back this spring: Ballet Folklorico classes return every Tuesday, hosted by Ballet Folklorico Azteca, adding cultural rhythm and movement to campus life.
