Saturday brought ideal weather for outdoor events, but for the Benbrook Bobcats football team, it ended in heartbreak.
Kicking off at 11 a.m. against Eastern Hills, the Bobcats battled through four quarters and into overtime before falling 34-28 to the Highlanders.
The game carried extra weight, as Eastern Hills came in looking to avenge a 2024 loss to Benbrook. This time, the Highlanders delivered, handing the Bobcats their second straight defeat and dropping Benbrookโs season record to 2-2.
Despite the tough outcome, the Bobcats showed grit and teamwork throughout the contest. Now the focus shifts to Friday night, when Benbrook faces Eagle Mountain at 7:00 p.m.
Fans will be watching to see if the Bobcats can bounce back and reclaim their winning rhythm.
