The Bobcat Wrestling teams delivered impressive performances over the weekend, with the girls competing at the 6A Arlington Lamar Tournament and the boys taking on a dual tournament in Frisco.
At the Lamar Tournament, Nataliegh Zapata earned a solid 3rd place finish, while Kas Stevens secured 4th. A special shoutout goes to Jessica Lowry and Samantha Hicks, who both celebrated their first wins on the mat.
Meanwhile, the boys’ team was on fire in Frisco, defeating Whitesboro, Dallas Conrad, and powerhouse programs like Frisco High and Coppell. Their only loss came to 6A heavyweight Northwest Eaton, who narrowly edged out the Bobcats by just 6 points to claim the tournament title.
Standout performances came from Landry Wilkinson, Mac Shafer, Peyton Pinneda, Philip McFadden, and Jacob Carpenter, all undefeated on the day. Gabe Helm also impressed with a 4-1 record, earning four pins.
