In a fiercely contested showdown, the Benbrook Bobcats narrowly fell to the Whitesboro Bearcats, 53-52, on Saturday afternoon.
Jayden Hall delivered a standout performance for the Bobcats, scoring 13 points on 6-of-14 shooting and dishing out four assists—his best playmaking effort since November. Peyton Henderson also made an impact, adding 11 points to the scoreboard.
Despite the strong individual efforts, the close loss marks Benbrook’s second consecutive defeat, evening their season record at 11-11.
The Bobcats will have a chance to regroup as they prepare for their next matchup on January 7, 2025, when they face Carter-Riverside Eagles at 7:30 p.m.
