BENBROOK, TX — For families looking to keep kids active and learning something new this spring, Benbrook Middle-High School is opening the mat for its upcoming youth wrestling camp.
Set for May 18 and 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., the camp is designed for first through sixth graders and focuses on the basics. Participants will work through wrestling fundamentals, drills, and games in a setting that balances instruction with fun.
The camp will be held in the wrestling room inside Building B at Benbrook Middle-High School. Early registration is $50 if completed by May 10. The cost increases to $70 after that date. Those who register early will also receive a camp shirt, while top performers can earn medals.
Behind the camp is a program with a strong track record, including multiple district titles and numerous regional qualifiers. For younger athletes, it is a chance to learn from that foundation while getting a feel for the sport in a welcoming environment.
And who knows, starting with a few evenings on the mat, learning the basics, building confidence, and maybe your child finds something they want to stick with a little longer.
Spots are limited, and organizers note that sessions tend to fill quickly.
