For the fourth year in a row, a Benbrook Middle High School student has written her way to the top of a national history contest.
Eighth grader Paige Ball recently earned first place in the Daughters of the American Revolution Essay Contest for her piece titled Lunch with a Signer. The annual contest invites students to reflect on American history through original writing, often asking them to imagine conversations with figures connected to the nationโs founding.
For Paige, the win continues a remarkable streak. She has now taken top honors in the contest four consecutive years, an accomplishment that reflects both creativity and a deep interest in history.
Achievements like this remind the community that academic competitions often take place quietly in classrooms and libraries, yet they represent hours of research, writing, and revision by students who take their work seriously.
As Paige prepares to enter high school in the coming years, her record in the contest already lays a strong foundation for future academic milestones.
