A simple idea is bringing a little color and community to Benbrook this week.
The Benbrook Public Library is hosting an Earth Day rock painting event on Friday, April 17, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., welcoming families of all ages to stop by, pick up a brush, and leave their mark. The painted rocks will become part of the libraryโs patio and garden space, turning a small craft into something that lasts.
There is no sign-up required, and everything needed will be provided, including rocks, paint, and brushes. It is an easy, come-as-you-are kind of event, whether you stay for a few minutes or the full afternoon.
The library is located at 1065 Mercedes Street in Benbrook.

It is a chance to slow down, get a little creative, and be part of something the community will see long after the paint dries.
