Benbrook residents will have several opportunities to weigh in during the upcoming Benbrook City Council meeting on Thursday night, including a public hearing on possible zoning changes affecting manufactured homes.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. on May 21 inside Council Chambers at Benbrook City Hall, 911 Winscott Road.
One of the evening’s most closely watched agenda items comes from the Planning and Zoning Commission. Council members will consider proposed amendments to the city’s zoning code that would allow new HUD-code manufactured homes as permitted dwelling units within the city’s “SD” Suburban District. The proposal is tied to changes outlined under S.B. 785, passed during the 89th Texas Legislature in 2025.
Residents will also hear the city’s latest finance report covering the period ending April 30, including updates on revenue, expenditures, and sales tax comparisons.
As with most council meetings, citizens will have opportunities to speak during both formal agenda comments and informal citizen comments, with remarks limited to three minutes per speaker.
The full meeting agenda and supporting documents are available through the City of Benbrook website at City of Benbrook Meetings and Agendas.
