Areas 1-2 of Fort Worth ISD Crowns Area Spelling Bee Champions.

The Fort Worth ISD hosted its annual Areas 1-2 Spelling Bees yesterday at the Teaching and Learning Center, showcasing the talents of top young spellers from local elementary and middle schools.

Each campus selected a champion or runner-up to compete in the event. The winners advance to the Regional Spelling Bee, hosted by the Fort Worth Library on March 29.

Results:

• Area 1 Champion: Noah Toscano, 3rd grader, Oakhurst Elementary
  Runner-Up: Giovanny Ventura, 7th grader, Riverside Middle School
• Area 2 Champion: Natalie Lewis, 7th grader, The Leadership Academy at Forest Oak
  Runner-Up: Maddysson Bonilla Perdomo, 3rd grader, Oaklawn Elementary

Congratulations to all participants for their hard work and achievements! Spelling Bees for Areas 3-4 are set for January 28, followed by Areas 5-6 on January 29.
