If you’re driving south out of Benbrook through Cresson toward Granbury, you’ll catch a patriotic sight just off the new bypass.
After joining in Granbury’s Fourth of July parade, Quint 30 is proudly flying the flag for travelers heading into the holiday weekend.
That new stretch of road you’re on has just been officially named Bob Cornett Parkway, a tribute to the late assistant fire chief and former mayor of Cresson. The name was approved through recent legislation backed by state lawmakers and local leaders in Hood and Johnson counties.
So as you pass through, take a moment to recognize the name and the man behind it.
