A Quieter Way to Experience the Library in Benbrook.

For many families, a trip to the library is a simple routine. For others, it can feel overwhelming. That is what makes an upcoming Sunday in Benbrook a little more thoughtful.

On Sunday, April 12, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., the Benbrook Public Library will open its doors outside regular hours for a Sensory Friendly Sunday, creating a calm and welcoming space for individuals and families with sensory needs to explore at their own pace.

The afternoon is designed to feel easy and unhurried. A storytime is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., and spring-themed crafts and activities will be available throughout the library. Families are free to come and go, giving them the flexibility to engage in a way that works best for them.

The Benbrook Public Library, located at 1065 Mercedes St, continues to look for ways to serve every part of the community, including those who benefit from quieter, more controlled environments.
