If you were driving past the Benbrook town sign on July 16, you might’ve spotted something special taking shape.
With the help of a crane and a careful eye, the new horse statues were lifted into place, and Bruce, store manager at Russell Feed, was right there making sure everything went smoothly.
The statues add a meaningful touch that captures Benbrook’s roots as a horse-loving community. With Bruce overseeing the install, it wasn’t just about getting it done, but getting it done with care.
Some locals even had an extra idea: what if Russell Feed helped feed the wildlife behind Walmart? There’s a herd of deer that often grazes there, and a little corn by the tree line could go a long way.
For now, the new horses at the town sign are a proud symbol of Benbrook’s spirit. Let’s keep that love for animals — wild and tame — part of what makes this town feel like home.
