Benbrook’s next General Election is set for Tuesday, November 4, 2025, and the filing period to get your name on the ballot opens July 19 and closes August 18.
Four positions will be on the ballot: Mayor (Place 1) and Council Members for Places 3, 5, and 7.
To qualify, candidates must be at least 18 years old, U.S. citizens, registered voters in Benbrook, and have lived in both Texas and Benbrook for at least 12 months. Candidates must also not have any felony convictions or court rulings of mental incompetence.
Candidate packets will be available by mid-June at Benbrook City Hall (911 Winscott Rd.) or online at benbrook-tx.gov. Completed applications must be submitted in person to the City Secretary’s Office by 5 p.m. on August 18.
