Benbrook residents may recognize her as the friendly face behind the scenes, but Executive Director Erica Richardson is also making waves far beyond our city limits.
After a decade of service to the Benbrook Public Library, Erica is now in the national spotlight, featured by America’s Library Districts for her leadership and advocacy.
As a founding board member of the Association of American Special Districts (AASD), Erica represents Texas’ 15 library districts and works to build practical support systems for libraries of all sizes. She also co-founded the Texas Special Districts Coalition, championing innovation and collaboration across the state.
Erica’s leadership continues to shape not just Benbrook’s library, but how special district libraries operate nationwide. Her dedication to serving the community through accessible and forward-thinking library services is something we’re proud of right here in Benbrook.
