A proposed business incentive, updates on local development projects, and changes to board operating rules are on the agenda for the Benbrook Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) meeting Monday, October 19.
The board will review ongoing development activity, including projects at 9301 Westpark Drive, 7802 Southwest Loop, 8509 Benbrook Boulevard, and 610 Winscott Road.
Members will also consider updating the corporation’s bylaws for the first time since 2011. Proposed changes include moving annual officer elections to January, allowing more flexibility in scheduling meetings, and adjusting public notice requirements.
The board is scheduled to meet behind closed doors to discuss a possible economic development incentive for MAD SR. Benbrook RE, LLC. Any resulting formal action would take place after the board returns to open session.
The meeting will also include a monthly financial report and an opportunity for residents to address the board.
Meeting details: The work session begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by the regular board meeting at 7 p.m. at Benbrook City Hall, 911 Winscott Road.
Residents can review the full October 19 meeting agenda and supporting documents.
