Benbrook residents heading out for Heritage Fest on Saturday can take a break from the festivities and spend a little time getting to know two City Council candidates.
Greg Clem, candidate for Place 4, and Whitney Hughes, candidate for Place 6, will host a come-and-go meet-and-greet Saturday, Sept. 19, from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at the Benbrook Public Library, 1065 Mercedes St. Both are running in Benbrook’s Nov. 3 municipal election.
The afternoon is informal. Residents can stop in when convenient, meet the candidates, share what matters to them and ask questions. A short presentation and Q&A are also planned, with no need to stay for the entire event.
Clem and Hughes are campaigning together under the One Benbrook banner while seeking separate seats on the council.
With Heritage Fest happening nearby Saturday, the event gives voters another opportunity to put faces with names and hear directly from two of the candidates who will appear on the November ballot.
