Western Hills Teacher Speaks Out at This Week’s FWISD Meeting.

A Western Hills High School teacher is drawing praise from supporters after speaking during a recent Fort Worth ISD Board meeting.

The Cougar Pride Alliance highlighted educator Ernie Moran following his remarks at the June 23 FWISD meeting, where community members addressed the Board of Managers and district leadership regarding recent district decisions.

Moran, who was previously the subject of an FWISD investigation following an online complaint, used his speaking time to advocate for students and voice support for Shayma Alzubi.

In his remarks, titled “If You Truly Want To Do What’s Best For Kids,” Moran shared why he believes Alzubi should be reinstated, pointing to her character and commitment to students.

Supporters praised Moran for publicly sharing his perspective and speaking on behalf of what he believes is in the best interests of the children and families served by the district.
