Most of us have spotted wildlife in our backyards, parks, or along local trails. This week, Benbrook residents will have a chance to meet some of Texas’ native animals a little closer.
The Benbrook Public Library will welcome the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge on Thursday, June 11, for an interactive wildlife program featuring live animal guests and lessons about the creatures that call Texas home.
The presentation is open to all ages and will be offered twice, with sessions at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
The event gives children and adults an opportunity to learn about native wildlife from nature experts while seeing some of the animals up close. Programs like these help connect families with the natural world found right here in North Texas.
The Benbrook Public Library is located at 1065 Mercedes Street.
For additional information and a full calendar of upcoming programs, visit Benbrook Public Library Events Calendar or Benbrook Public Library. Residents may also call 817-249-6632 for details.
If you’re looking for a family-friendly way to spend part of your afternoon, this is a chance to learn something new and meet a few wild Texas neighbors along the way.
