For One North Texas Family, a Small Business Became a Bigger Purpose.

What started as a small family business for Stone’s Throw Farm Co. has grown into something far more personal for the family behind it.

This week, the owners, Jack and Trish Stone, shared the heart behind their journey, pointing to their son Jackson as one of the biggest reasons they built the business in the first place.

Jackson, who has autism, recently graduated from Rock Hill High School and is now preparing to officially join the day-to-day operations of the family store this fall.

His parents described the milestone as emotional and deeply meaningful, explaining that while Jackson’s path may look different from others’, they always wanted him to have a place where he could contribute, belong, and make an impact on the people around him.

According to the family, Jackson has already done exactly that throughout his life, leaving an impression on classmates, teachers, administrators, friends, and relatives alike.

Beginning this fall, Jackson will join the store’s Monday and Tuesday team, marking a new chapter not just for him, but for the entire family business.

For many parents raising children with disabilities, stories like Jackson’s serve as a reminder that success does not always follow the same timeline or path. Sometimes it looks like finding the place, like Stone’s Throw Farm, where someone is fully seen, valued, and given the opportunity to shine.
