BENBROOK, TX — For a group of Western Hills High School seniors, graduation this year comes with more than a diploma.
Eight graduating seniors were recently recognized at the “Where Achievement Begins” event for earning their associate degrees through Tarrant County College, reaching a milestone that puts them a full step ahead before they even walk the stage for high school graduation.
The recognition also comes alongside a larger moment for the campus. Western Hills High School has officially been named an Early College High School, a designation that reflects a growing commitment to helping students earn college credit and degrees while still in high school.
It is the kind of progress that shows up in real outcomes, with students not only meeting expectations but moving beyond them in ways that can shape what comes next.
For families and the broader community, it is a reminder that the work happening inside the school is opening doors earlier than ever, and for these seniors, those doors are already starting to swing wide.
