The Cresson community will come together this week to remember and honor firefighter David Hendrix, with visitation and memorial services planned in Cresson.
The Cresson Volunteer Fire Department will host a visitation with David’s family on Thursday, January 22, from 6:30 to 9 PM at the department’s training room, located at 9401 E US 377. In a personal touch that reflects David’s spirit, an open ice cream buffet will be available, including his favorite, Cookie Two Step.
A memorial service will follow on Friday, January 23, at 3 PM at Bear Creek Community Church, located at 18600 S US Highway 377. Surrounding fire departments and agencies interested in participating in a procession escort for David’s family are invited to join for lunch that day.

The department and David’s family have shared their deep gratitude for the outpouring of support, prayers, and encouragement from across the community since his passing.
