A stretch of US Highway 377 between Benbrook and Cresson is drawing renewed attention after multiple accidents in a short span of time.
Late Sunday night, a serious crash required one person to be airlifted to a hospital.
Less than twelve hours later, another incident occurred on Monday morning around 10 am when a vehicle became caught in the barrier wires on northbound US 377 just south of the Bourland Field runway.
The crash forced the closure of the inside northbound lane while crews worked the scene. Traffic backed up for roughly 30 to 45 minutes, though one lane remained open.
The roadway has since reopened, and traffic is moving normally. Investigators are reviewing the incident to determine what caused the crash.
With accidents appearing more frequently along this corridor, drivers are being reminded to slow down, stay alert, and avoid distractions.
As holiday travel picks up, extra caution along US 377 could help prevent more close calls and keep everyone moving safely.
