Benbrook Rallies to Cover a Last-Minute Angel Tree Gap.

Every year, Benbrook’s Spirit of Christmas program quietly links generous neighbors with local children who need a little holiday help.

It usually runs like clockwork, but this season brought a surprise. A longtime participating business had to step back, leaving about forty angels without sponsors. Instead of letting that gap sit, one resident reached out hoping the community could fill it.

Beth Gatlin shared that these children still need to be adopted. Families and individuals can choose how many angels they want to support, along with any age or gender preferences. For some, adopting one angel is a meaningful tradition. Others gather coworkers, small groups, or extended family and take on several of them. Every match helps make sure no child is left out when gifts are delivered.

For anyone unable to adopt an angel this year, spreading the word is just as important. Sharing the need with friends, family, or local groups helps the remaining children get covered quickly.
